Evelyn Kathleen Hoflin

Evelyn Hoflin

Services were held Jan. 28 at the Chapel of the Resurrection in Bothell for Evelyn Kathleen Hoflin who died Jan. 25, 2005, in Kirkland.

Mrs. Hoflin was born March 31, 1922, in Devils Lake, N.D. where she graduated from Central High School and was a member of the St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church. Later, she was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Seattle and the Shoreline Methodist Church. She was also an active participant in the Children’s Hospital Women’s Guild, the Monroe and Carnation senior centers, and the Carnation Lunch Bunch.

Mrs. Hoflin is remembered as a loving mother and housewife, an extremely caring and loving person who enjoyed cooking care packages, entertaining family and friends, and gardening.

Her survivors include her husband, Robert; sons, Donald Hoflin of Denver, Colo., and Jim (Sandy) Hoflin of Woodinville; grandchildren, Tiffany, Chad, Hamilton, Gregory, and Ingrid; and several nieces and nephews.
