Woodinville Fields Campaign receives in-kind donations

Northwest Parks Foundation, has announced pledges of in-kind contributions toward the capital campaign to fund the Woodinville Fields Renovation & Carol Edwards Loop.

  • Mead Gilman & Associates, Professional Land Surveyors, have generously pledged in-kind services of land surveying and construction staking for the Woodinville Fields project.
  • Vibrant Plants, Inc, has pledged to provide the remaining shrubs and ground cover needed as specified in the project planting plan (approximately 1,300 plants in all). This donation follows on the heels of Olympic Nursery, who has pledged to donate 118 deciduous trees to the project.
  • Woodinville Weekly has continued to generously donate display advertisements for the campaign. Most recently, the Weekly donated their services for the Campaign Insert that came out in the newspaper in early June.

Substantial financial contributors to the campaign include Woodinville Lumber, The MacKay Family Foundation, Woodinville Rotary (in community partnership with Banner Bank and Woodinville Wine Country), Sierra Construction, CamWest Development, Northshore Youth Soccer Association, Starbucks, Pacific Bag, Evergreen Healthcare, the Hirai family, Vic’s Insurance, CH2M Hill, Brittany Park, and Quality Care Physical Therapy.

Additional contributions have been received from numerous families and individuals.

According to Suzette Hart, Campaign Director, there are several levels of gift giving available to fit any family budget.

Turf sponsorships for 1 square yard of turf are available for $25, Coach’s Honor Roll appreciation gifts are available for $100, bronze paw prints (set of 4) are available for $350, as well as several other park amenities that are available for sponsorship.

Hart added that while the Woodinville Weekly Campaign Insert generated a lot of interest in the paw prints and the turf sponsorship opportunities, there are still several of each item available for sponsorship.

Northwest Parks Foundation is currently scheduled to participate in the Super Jock ‘N Jill Half Marathon at Red Hook Brewery on Monday, Sept. 1.

A large sample of synthetic turf (The Turf Box) will be on hand for people to walk, jog and jump on to get an idea of what the new field surface will feel like.

Sections of turf will be available for sponsorship at $25 a yard.
