More than a year into the pandemic, the restaurant and hospitality industry continue to struggle. A group of 10 chambers of commerce within King County aim to aid these businesses with Eastside Restaurant Support Week from April 19-26.

“Our community has kept our restaurants top of mind during this pandemic and I know many of our restaurant owners are so thankful for that support,” Woodinville Chamber Executive Director Kimberly Ellertson said. “We are eager to see our Woodinville and regional restaurants flooded with even more love over the week ahead.”

The goal of the restaurant week is to encourage community members to support local eateries for at least one meal per day, according to Ellertson. This grassroots campaign includes Woodinville, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Bothell-Kenmore, Sammamish, Issaquah, Renton, SnoValley and Maple Valley-Black Diamond.

Participants can also earn prizes each day for supporting local restaurants. For each day of the week, a winner will be selected to receive a $100 gift card from a nearby food establishment. Participants must post pictures to social media using the hashtag #EastsideEats and a winner will be chosen each day.

“This Eastside Restaurant Support Week is a great opportunity to get out and patronize a business you haven’t had the chance to try before,” Ellertson said. “Our Chamber is eager to see the #EastsideEats hashtag used via Facebook and Instagram at many of our Woodinville locations so we can share your successful dining stories with the community.”

Each day includes a new theme to follow – from Italian to Ramadan. The schedule for the week was Italian/Greek on Monday, Asian on Tuesday and healthy food on Wednesday.

The remainder of the week includes:

• Thursday: Burgers & Brews

• Friday: Mexican

• Saturday: Indian

• Sunday: Indulgences

• Monday: BIPOC/Women-owned

• BONUS: After Sunset/Ramadan
