Molbak’s Garden + Home, the Northwest’s largest independent,  retail garden center, has  announced that Tye Kinnear has been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer, according to a press release.  

Kinnear previously held the title of director of finance and administration and now oversees all business  and financial matters, the release states. 

“From day one, with his natural growth mindset, Tye has been building the foundation and  infrastructure to support Molbak’s future,” Molbak’s CEO Julie Kouhia said in the release. “Thanks to his efforts, we are emerging from this pandemic year in a position of strength – ready to take on new challenges. I could not ask for a better partner in leading Molbak’s forward.” 

Prior to joining Molbak’s Garden + Home in 2017, Kinnear served as senior business manager for Odin, a  business unit of Ingram Micro Inc. He previously worked as a finance manager at Vulcan, Inc. and as a financial planning analyst at Washington Mutual in Seattle. Kinnear earned a finance degree from Santa  Clara University and an MBA from Seattle University.
