Celebrate Woodinville - 070821

Washington is open again, and Woodinville is celebrating with several programs to explore this summer.

In a partnership between Woodinville Wine Country and the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce, a new campaign has been created to urge visitors and residents to shop, explore, eat, drink and stay in town during the months of July and August.

“We all know that this past year has been challenging,” said Kimberly Ellertson, executive director of the chamber. “As the state begins to reopen, we hope locals and visitors will support our Woodinville businesses. Welcome to Woodinville is a new campaign to remind us of all of the opportunities in our community to get out and explore this summer.”

Over 120 wineries and other businesses are hosting events this summer. Here are a few of those happenings:

Explore Woodinville

The free Explore Woodinville pass allows residents and visitors to discover parks, art installations and historic landmarks.  Each month, one winner will be selected to win a giveaway valued at over $500. Check-in to a minimum of one location to be entered to win. The July giveaway includes a Yeti Roadhouse Cooler, a Huski wine chiller and wine opener, and two Yeti Wine Tumblers. Passport to Taste

The Passport to Taste offers custom tours and discounted tastings throughout wine country. Visitors can taste award-winning wine in a single weekend or month-after-month throughout 2021. Less than 100 passes are currently available for purchase, according to a press release from the chamber. Several different digital tasting passes are also for sale at woodinvillewinecountry.com/tasting-passes.

Celebrate Woodinville summer concerts

Celebrate Woodinville returns this summer with a four-week summer concert series. The event is presented by the Woodinville Chamber in partnership with the City of Woodinville, Woodinville Wine Country and the Northshore YMCA. These free community gatherings will feature high-energy bands for all ages at Wilmot Gateway Park on July 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4. Learn more at www.celebratewoodinville.com.

Celebrate Woodinville virtual 5k

Runners, walkers, joggers, strollers and pups are encouraged to participate in the Celebrate Woodinville virtual 5k. The race can be completed on a trail, road or treadmill. Stop by Woodin Creek Village for packet pick-up events from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 11, 13, 18 and 20. Look for chalk art and live music each week. Register for the 5k at www.celebratewoodinville.com/5k/.

The Welcome to Woodinville campaign will likely evolve and grow during the move into fall and winter months, Ellertson said.

“We hope visitors see that Woodinville has something for everyone,” she said. “From Celebrate Woodinville summer concerts at Wilmot Gateway Park for the whole family to overnight stays and spa-cations at Willows Lodge for a girlfriend’s weekend retreat, Woodinville has so much to offer.”
