With the challenges we have all faced these last few months, the Woodinville Chamber, in partnership with the city, is eager to provide some joy to the community! Our Celebrate Woodinville mission is still to bring residents together for family-oriented events, encourage a sense of community, and promote local businesses to visitors throughout the Puget Sound region.

Last week we launched the Celebrate Woodinville Virtual 5k: Keep Your Distance! Your virtual 5K is completed anywhere of your choosing. Whether it be a local trail, your treadmill, or neighborhood, you run your race at your own pace during the virtual race dates. Complete the challenge, submit your results and celebrate!

We also encourage non-runners to participate. We are providing weekly challenges that kids, families, and those who don’t wish to run, can complete… simply as a way to bring our community together in a shared activity. We are thankful for the numerous businesses that are helping to sponsor this 5K, including presenting sponsor, The Everett Clinic.

We are also excited to announce the 2020 Celebrate Woodinville Outdoor Movies! These will take place at Woodinville Sports Club, our event partner. We’ll be showing Onward on July 29, and Playing with Fire Aug. 5. Space is limited, due to the capacity at our location, so we require guests to register for a ticket at www.celebratewoodinville.com/summer-event-series/cw-movie-nights/.

We invite ticket holders to select their favorite local restaurant, order take-out and enjoy dining in their vehicle while we screen these movies. If we all come together to #ThinkLocal, we make a difference in our business community. And finally, we are thankful for the numerous businesses that are helping to sponsor our Celebrate Woodinville Outdoor Movies.

While these events are partially funded through Lodging Tax dollars, it is the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce that produces, and mainly funds our beloved community events. But this year, due to this pandemic, the Chamber’s revenues are way down, and its very existence is in jeopardy.

The Chamber does much more than events. Its fundamental mission is to help our local businesses be coordinated, efficient, and healthy. And the popularity of the public events is a fun reminder of how, behind the scenes, the Chamber is hard at work in making our community what it has become.

If you are a member of this community and would like to become a Chamber supporter, we welcome you to donate at runsignup.com/Race/Donate/WA/Woodinville/celebratewoodinvillevirtual5k or by calling 425-481-8300.

If you are a business owner in Woodinville or the area, we invite you to join our Chamber as a member, so we can continue to promote, strengthen, and represent local business. Join us at:

Woodinvillechamber.org/join-us. There are hundreds of local businesses who continue to support the Chamber through this pandemic, and we are so thankful.

The Chamber appreciates your support and we cannot wait to celebrate Woodinville with you, in person, once again.
