It’s almost spring, which means it’s time to do some of that annual spring cleaning.
The Woodinville High School Drama Booster Club is partnering with Seattle Goodwill to hold a donation drive in support of the theatre students from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, March 14.
According to the organization, for every 28-foot trailer filled, Goodwill will donate $600 to the booster club. The nonprofit also pays proportionately for partial truck fills.
“I think that once we get back into the classroom and back in-person, there's going to be so much learning that the kids need to make up for and that they lost over the last year,” theatre producer Katharina Bomers-Muller said. “The [booster club] would love to support us by bringing in teaching artists and helping however they can financially.”
Parent volunteer Kathy Nicholas said the funds may help with costumes and props for future productions. The money could also be used to assist students with additional costs associated with the theatre group, she noted.
Those interested in donating can drop off items at the WHS parking lot on Northeast 195th Street between the football and baseball fields. People are encouraged to bring clothing, jewelry, household items and electronics. However, no furniture larger than an end table can be accepted.
