THEFT / ASSAULT
17600 GARDEN WAY NE: On July 17, deputies were dispatched to a robbery at a business. The caller reported a male was observed by staff stealing items from the store and when they confronted him after he left the store, the male punched the staff several times in an attempt to get away. Deputies located the male and recovered the stolen items. The male was processed at the police station and released. Charges of Theft 3 and Assault 4 have been recommended to the prosecutor’s office.
13800 NE 175 ST: On July 17, deputies investigated a theft from a business. Three unknown suspects entered a store and stole numerous pairs of eyeglasses. Detectives are following up on information from security video and other leads.
18700 132 AVE NE: On July 19, a Jeep with after-market lifted wheels and tires was traveling North on 132 Ave NE when its wheel lug nuts broke off, separating one of the rear tires from the vehicle. The driver attempted to steer the vehicle but the axle got stuck in pavement and caused it to flip over onto the driver's side. The vehicle was blocking both lanes when deputies and the Woodinville Fire Department arrived. The exterior roll cage on the Jeep protected the driver, who was not injured. Alcohol and drugs were not involved in the collision. The road was closed for about one hour while tow trucks cleared the road.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY
17400 131 AVE NE: On July 22, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call and located a dumped stolen vehicle parked in front of a business. The vehicle was stolen in Lynnwood on July 21.
15600 NE 191 ST: On July 23, deputies were called to a residence to investigate threats between a homeowner and contractor. The deputies assisted the two parties in separating for the day and suggested ways of resolving the dispute.
13100 NE 171 ST: On July 24, deputies responded to calls of a male in a parking lot attempting to get into a parked vehicle using a knife. When deputies arrived, the male fled in the vehicle he arrived in. Deputies attempted to pull the car over, but the vehicle fled into Bothell. The investigation showed the male loitered in the parking lot for hours before using a knife to get into a vehicle but nothing was stolen. King County Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems responded to the parking lot to process the scene for fingerprints. Deputies believe the vehicle the male fled in was contacted by King County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Burien last week regarding a narcotics investigation. Detectives will continue to investigate.
14100 NE 183 ST: Detectives are working with apartment complex managers to investigate some recent bicycle thefts and provide crime prevention solutions for the residents.
19000 WOODINVILLE SNOHOMISH RD NE: Detectives identified a 30-year-old Tacoma man as the suspect in a May 27 auto theft from a business. Detectives recommended charges to the King County Prosecutor of Theft of Motor Vehicle.
