12800 NE 178 ST: On July 28, at about 6 p.m., deputies began investigating a series of check fraud victimizing a business. The fraud occurred since May 2020 and totals over $10,000 lost.
18200 142 AVE NE: On July 28, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a parking garage and stole a bicycle from a storage area. Detectives are investigating and reviewing security footage.
15200 NE 201 ST: Early morning on July 29, a missing runaway person from Woodinville was located in Lakewood by police and returned to the family. The juvenile was reported missing on July 24 after he left his home for a run and did not return. Deputies and the KCSO Missing Persons specialist worked with the family for several days before the juvenile being located.
18200 142 AVE NE: Just after midnight on July 30, deputies were called to suspicious activity when a citizen reported seeing multiple people pushing a motorcycle through the neighborhood. Four deputies checked and did not locate the people. The next morning, the owner of the motorcycle reported it stolen. The motorcycle was found hidden behind an apartment complex at 9:30 a.m. on July 31, about one block from where it was stolen. Deputies are reviewing fingerprints and security footage for suspects.
RAPE / ASSAULT
14600 NE 179 ST: On July 30, deputies began investigating rape and assault that occurred on the morning of July 28. The reporting victim was attacked by a known suspect in a wooded area. King County Sheriff’s Office Special Assault Unit detectives responded to handle the investigation.
