Pet of the Week - Sassafras

                       Sassafras

If you think only dogs play fetch, you’d be mistaken. Let Sassafras show you how fetch is really done!

She darts around the room catching her toys —and she’s currently at a return rate of about 99%.

At 14 years young, Sassafras will make a super-fun companion. When she’s not getting in her steps she’s busy keeping laps warm. She loves to snuggle up and act as a furry, purring heater for her human.

Sassafras hasn’t lived with other cats or dogs before, so introductions should be done very slowly. Because she can sometimes get overstimulated with petting, she’s looking for a home with just teens and adults.

Come play fetch with Sassafras today!

Homeward Pet is located at 13132 N.E 177th Place in Woodinville and is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Pet of the Week—Holly

Holly

If you’re the type of person who enjoys ringing in the holiday season a little early, then we’ve got the perfect pup for you.

Holly is a 3-year-old Cattle Dog Mix. She has fur as white as snow and as soft and fluffy, too!

Holly is as spunky as they come and would love a family that’s active and will give her lots of playtime and exercise. She absolutely adores people and can’t wait to have a family to dote on and a family that dotes right back!

Holly wants her human’s attention all to herself, so she’d like to be the only dog in her new home. She hasn’t met cats before, so any introductions should be done very slowly.

Due to her energy level and chattiness, she may not do well in an apartment or condo.

Come get your dose of the holidays and meet Holly today!

Homeward Pet is located at 13132 N.E. 177th Place in Woodinville and is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Pet of the Week - Luna

Luna

Lovely, lovely Luna; there aren’t enough words in the world to describe the wonderful nature of this gal. She is about 9 months old and really fun to be around. She fetches toys with the utmost enthusiasm and proudly trots around with her find showing it off for all to see.

Luna has people smiling and feeling joyous in no time! Luna also really enjoys playing with other dogs and will put 100 percent effort into every play session. Because she’s such an exuberant player, she would do best if the other dog in the home were an energetic, sturdy and spunky dog as well.

Luna also finds playing with cats exciting, so any cats in the home should be dog savvy and able to handle a big, silly dog. Any kids in the home should be older and able to handle her gently and help out with her daily care. Come watch Luna play today!

Homeward Pet is located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Pet of the Week - Mirran

Mirran may be petite in size but she's mighty in personality! Mirran is one interactive cat and loves to chirp at her humans asking for pets and love.

She melts as soon as the cheek rubs start and the purring gets louder and louder as the scratches move to the chin.

This 12-year-old beauty is personality plus and will make a truly special companion. You will never feel lonely when you have Mirran to keep your lap warm and to chat with you about your day.

Mirran has a history of doing well with other cats, as long as they give her plenty of space.

We don't know if she's ever met dogs. She's looking for a mellow home with just teens and adults.

Come and be charmed by Mirran today!

Homeward Pet is located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville and is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.

Pet of the Week —Tagg

  • Written by Bob Kirkpatrick
Tagg

When most people are ready to retire, they head to somewhere warm.

But this little guy left Hawaii to retire in Washington, ditching the toasty, tropical sun for gray skies and cool nights.

After boarding a plane and crossing the ocean, Tagg is here waiting to meet his forever family!

At 14 years old, this Jack Russell Terrier mix is ready for a life of luxury.

Once you’re around Tagg for a minute or two you’ll see his enthusiasm for life come shining through.

He loves to take in everything around him — the green grass, the birds flying by, and the leaves blowing in the breeze.

Volunteers have the best time walking Tagg because he’s always up for strutting down the sidewalk, and he keeps his smile the whole time!

Tagg loves his Northwest life, but he still needs a family to help get him all the way to his happy retirement!

Tagg would prefer to be the only dog in his new home so that he can have all the attention for himself.

If you’re ready to fill your life with dog smiles, stubby-tail wags, and infectious enthusiasm for life, then Tagg may be the perfect fit for you!
