Serial child molester arrested after months-long investigation

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif— A 51-year-old man with ties to Woodinville was arrested on Wednesday, March 18, on 99 felony counts related to child sex abuse. 

Christopher Scott Flanders was served with warrant following a three-month-long investigation involving multiple victims in the South Lake Tahoe area. Further charges are pending, including Possession of Child Pornography. 

Flanders is also known to have also resided in the California towns of Aptos; Boulder Creek; Watsonville; Salinas; Pacific Grove; San Jose; Fort Bragg; Mendocino; and Sunland.  Police say he also spent time in Las Vegas; La Grande, Ore., Woodinville and Vancouver, Wash. 

Flanders was arrested in the Placerville, Calif. area with the assistance of the Sacramento PRCS Task Force. He is currently in custody at the El Dorado County Jail with bails set $2M.

South Lake Tahoe Detectives believe there are additional victims that have not been identified.  SLTPD is asking any parents that may have known Flanders to talk with their children and report any potential victimization.
