John P. World passed away on December 24th, 2020, at his home in Woodinville, WA. John was born on September 12, 1946, in Penn Yan, NY. After 4 years of service in the US Air Force, John received a BA from the University of Washington and a JD from The University of Puget Sound. He practiced law and was an executive with high fidelity companies in the Seattle area for many years.

John’s passion in life began upon retirement when he became a gentleman farmer raising many kinds of fruits and vegetables in his ever expanding garden, tended to his chickens, ducks and peafowl and cared for his many dogs and cats. John loved to cook and bake and was a chocolatier. John began to make wine with friends and then became the Cellar Master at the award winning Warr-King wines in Woodinville Washington. He spent many happy trips fishing on the many waterways of the Pacific NW with his friends and family.

John was predeceased by his parents, Paul D. and Frances Anne World and his sister Ellen World Conklin. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Griffith, his daughters, Denise World Hayden and Michele World, His granddaughter, Madelyn Hayden, stepchildren Tessa Kolstad and Lucas Kolstad as well as his brother Gregory World, sisters, Elizabeth World Forance, Mary Anne World York and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service celebrating his life in the future at Fish Lake in Washington, his favorite fishing spot which he enjoyed for many years with friends and family.
