Five students at Woodinville High School took their athletic careers to the next level by signing National Letters of Intent for the NCAA in the school library on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

“When I participated in National Signing Day, I was super pumped to get the opportunity to be alongside my fellow classmates and begin the new chapter in our lives,” said Jarvis, who will play lacrosse for the University of Detroit.

Bruce committed to the University of Portland baseball team and Fitch signed for the Loyola Marymount University softball team. Thompson will play basketball for Boise State University.

“One thing that I thought was inspiring was that four out of five athletes who signed were women,” said Brandon, who will head to Xavier University to play lacrosse in the fall. “Generally, women’s sports get overlooked. This shows how hard women athletes work and that they deserve more recognition.”
