Lee Bennett (November 1944 - September 2022)

Lee Bennett was born on Nov. 8, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died Sept. 8, 2022, at the age of 77 at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA.Lee was a graduate from Santa Ana High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in speech and psychology at California State University, Fullerton.In 1965, at the age of 20, he married Susan Arlene McGill. They were married for 57 years.Lee and Sue served with Campus Crusade for Christ, and directed the ministry for four and a half years in Washington, Oregon and California. Lee pastored at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California.In 1979, Lee and Sue moved to Washington to begin a church in Bothell, Calvary Northshore, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, and Northwest Community Church from 1979-2019.The Church was Lee’s passion and joy for 40 years. He taught ‘The Father Heart of God’ seminar throughout the US and internationally. He encouraged his audience to give the gift of grace and salvation at every opportunity.Lee retired in 2019 and moved to Oak Harbor in 2021.Lee is survived by his wife, Sue; their four children, Brad, Lisa, Greg and Mark; and eight grandchildren, Koh, Ona, Hanna, Oliver, Caleb, Jordan, Lilly and Finn. He is also survived by his father Fred Bennett, his three siblings Cindy, Sandy and Tim, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Lee is preceded in death by his mother Beaulah Bennett and grandson Baily Bennett.Funeral services will take place Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Park Church at 16300 112th Ave NE Bothell, WA.
