Lady Falcons Gymnasts are District 1, 2, and 8 4A Champions

by Christina Ruana

On Fri Feb. 11, the Woodinville Lady Falcons gymnasts capped of the season with a post season win at the combined District championships that included 15 different 4A teams from King County, Wesco from up north, and Spokane/Tri Cities!.

The top two overall scoring teams earned the ability to send *all* of their post-season team athletes to states. Team Woodinville is positioned well and will be able to compete the maximum number of athletes in each state event. The Lady Falcon gymnasts are the defending state champions, and their performance at Districts left little doubt as to how strong they are again this year too.

Huge congratulations to Emily Brouwers (Jr), Katie Barker (Sr), and Ainsley Mann (So) for competing in each event and respectively clinching the first, second, and fifth spots in the overall all around.

Come watch the state finals meet next week on Fri Feb 24th for the Team and all around events, and on Saturday Feb 25th for the individual events at Sammamish HS in Bellevue. Go Falcons.
