John Eusek, 79, passed away at Evergreen Hospice on July 22, 2023, from a long bout of Dementia. He died peacefully under the exceptional care at Hospice surrounded by his devoted and loving family.
John was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Rose Marie and John Paul Eusek. His father immigrated from Yugoslavia when he was a child. He had two sisters, Mary Ellen, Rose Mary, and a brother, the late James Eusek. After John graduated from Rock Springs High School he attended school at Denver General and graduated as a Radiology Technologist. He lived in Montana and California before moving to Woodinville, Wa. where he worked at Virginia Mason Clinic for twenty-seven years.
For most of that time, he was Administrative Director of Radiology. He worked his last few years as an administrative director in the Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) at Virginia Mason. After retirement, John was a consultant in LEAN Process for John Black Associates in Canada. He also consulted independently in Washington and Florida.
John and his wife, Laurie, enjoyed spending part of their time at their Whidbey Island home and later, traveled extensively in their motor home throughout Canada and the U.S. before John was diagnosed with Dementia. John’s hobbies throughout life included flying RC airplanes, horseback riding, wood turning, and a passion for reading history.
John is survived by wife Laurie, and children, Todd, Dena, Angie and Edmun. Grandchildren include Kelcie, Erika, Cole, Victoria, Kylie, Tess and Jenna. He also had three great-grandchildren.
